Dingle International Film Festival (Dingle IFF) is delighted to announce that veteran English actor Timothy Spall, OBE will be visiting Dingle with the screening of the Irish premiere of STANLEY A MAN OF VARIETY, a hysterical and moving comedy that features Timothy Spall performing all the principal roles. The film will be playing at The Phoenix Cinema on Friday March 24th, 2017. This tour-de-force event will also include a Q&A session with Spall, the film’s director, Stephen Cookson, and the film’s producer, Peter Keegan.

The variety of characters has allowed Timothy Spall to show off his acting abilities to the highest degree—“They were all a challenge but they were all characters that I grew up with in a sense … Some of them are a very wholesome feeling inside me, some of them bring a sense of melancholy, (some) carry a certain sinister quality and a quality that is a mixture of the mundane and the frightening.” (Timothy Spall, at the world premiere of STANLEY A MAN OF VARIETY)

The festival director, Maurice Galway, is honoured to have these highly-esteemed guests visiting Dingle for the festival, and welcomes adding their names to the Dingle IFF wall of fame—“Timothy Spall is outstanding in Stanley a Man of Variety, he is a true actor who has achieved so much in his career. I’ve loved watching him over the years and I am honoured to have Timothy join us this year at the festival.”

STANLEY A MAN OF VARIETY is a mesmerising addition to Dingle IFF’s catalogue of fantastic films. So be sure not to miss it and book your tickets now.
