Dingle International Film Festival (Dingle IFF) 2017 is delighted to announce that sensational Irish star Jack Reynor will be visiting Dingle for the screening of Ben Wheatley’s new film FREE FIRE in The Phoenix Cinema on Thursday 23rd March. Amazingly talented and globally recognised, Jack will make for an unforgettable presence at our festival this year.
Jack divides his time between Hollywood and the Irish film industry when it comes to acting, and he enjoys working locally as much as with big American productions—I’ve worked with pretty much everybody in Ireland; they’re all my friends, so it’s a great experience … Making Irish films is important to me. I try to make at least one every year, and it keeps me very grounded … We have a wealth of fantastic directors in this country.”
Jack’s newest film, FREE FIRE, will provide wholesome entertainment and intimate reflection on Irish society respectively. Jack commented on his great time working on the wonderfully funny and stylised FREE FIRE—“I just think Ben Wheatley’s phenomenal … It’s set in 1978, so it’s serious style; John Legend era! … Who doesn’t love gunfight movies? Hopefully a lot of people will go and see it.”
Dingle IFF extends our biggest welcome to Jack Reynor, and we hope that you come out and see him at this year’s festival. It’s going to be a wild ride!
