I am currently on work placement with Dingle International Film Festival (Dingle IFF) for my college course. The festival takes place annually in March in Dingle, Co. Kerry, Ireland, and offers feature screenings from Irish and international filmmakers. Dingle IFF covers all genres of films, including animation, and is the first Irish film festival to hold an Animation Awards ceremony, in association with Animation Ireland. Dingle IFF has a proud Gaeltacht heritage and promotes the Irish language by offering an award for Irish Script writing with its Físín event.
Dingle International Film Festival has now been running annually for 11 years. Ever year, Dingle IFF commits to the highest levels of exhibition with its catalogue of films and events, and has attracted many guest actors since its inception, including Cillian Murphy, Aiden Gillen, Sarah Miles, and Saoirse Ronan.
This year promises to be the biggest and best yet, with a wide variety of exciting events and fantastic films. There will be many special guest stars in attendence, and the festival promises to be both entertaining and inspiring for filmgoers all over the world.
Further details will be released in the coming weeks, so stay tuned and see the magic of Ireland.
